Term dates are the same as state school term dates. Fees are payable monthly in advance.

Rainbow Music Club

Rainbow music club is also offered to develop a sense of rhythm and learning about music in a fun way, using percussion instruments, singing traditional songs.

Piano Tuition

Students are accepted from five years old.

Emphasis is on learning to read notes, their pitch and time values. This enables sight-reading of notes.

Music is a mixture of classic, popular, folk songs, nursery songs and jazz.

Piano lessons include scales from early on to increase familiarity. Gradually Aural Tests are also incorporated into the lessons.

Exams through the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music are prepared for and taken if wished.

Piano lessons also include theory and technical exercises to increase dexterity.

Achievements:

• One of my pupils who did not play an instrument before and could not read music at all started having piano lessons with me on the 15th of October 2006. After having piano tuition from me she was able to take grade 1 in summer of 2007 and passed with merit.
• I have been giving piano tuition since 1988 and my sole income is from piano lessons, selling metronomes and books and running Rainbow Music Club.
• Students receive a Merit Card and receive gifts
• Every year 100% of my students achieve either a merit or distinction in their ABRSM Exams.
